Recap: Due to COVID restrictions in 2020, the 4-day in-person Geek Squad New Employee Induction was unable to be scheduled. We converted the core learning behaviors into 3 self-paced Storyline courses.

Learning Solution: Fully Featured interactive eLearning with video, downloadable Job Aids and transcription.

Our Thought Process Behind This Solution

Every Geek Squad Agent goes through a 4-day induction to learn about Geek Squad culture, benefits, and role-specific behaviors (In-Store Services, Field Services, Autotech, Delivery, Home Theater, and Appliances.)

Because of COVID restrictions, this was no longer possible. We created a three-module course.

Module 1 was Who We Are, which explained the history and culture of Geek Squad.

Module 2 was What We Do and explained the different Geek Squad positions.

Module 3 was How We Do It, which went into further technical detail on what each role was expected to do.

The course was full of voice-over recorded facilitation, interactive elements, quizzes, and videos with transcription to make the course as navigable and as self-paced as possible.
