Review velocity
Also called: Review rate, Review frequency
Review velocity is how many new reviews a business earns each month, and a steady flow of recent reviews outweighs a large total that stopped growing two years ago.
In practice
Google weighs recency and so do customers, who read the newest three. The mechanism that produces velocity is an ask after every job, by text, with a direct link, sent by the tech or the system within an hour of finishing.
Four a month, every month, beats forty in one push followed by nothing.
