The challenge
Pilates MN is the kind of business every town wishes it had. Nineteen instructors and clinicians with over 300,000 combined hours of teaching and clinical experience. Licensed physical therapists working alongside Pilates instructors in the same studio. Reformers adapted with Konnectors, a single-rope pulley system that trains asymmetric bodies traditional equipment can't reach. Best Pilates Studio in Plymouth honors on the wall, and clients who have trained there for more than a decade.
Almost none of that was visible online. Their aging Squarespace site buried the story: the Konnectors had no page, the physical therapy and massage practices were nearly undiscoverable, and the design felt a generation older than the studio itself. Meanwhile a national franchise brand appears across nearly twice as much of the local map as Pilates MN does, with a 4.3-star rating against the studio's 4.9. The best studio in the market was losing search to the biggest logo in the market.

What we did
Three complete design directions, not a mockup PDF. Before building anything permanent, we shipped three fully interactive versions of the site, each a different design direction the owners could click through page by page. They chose the one that felt like their studio. That choice, not our taste, set the direction for everything that followed.
A custom site that finally tells the story. Dedicated pages for every service, all nineteen staff bios, transparent pricing, a live class schedule, a studio tour, an articles engine, and an AI chat assistant trained on the studio's real policies. The Konnector system, their single most distinctive asset, got the feature page it deserved after years of living in a paragraph. See everything a Skill Mammoth website includes.

A local SEO engine, not a one-time optimization. We verified and cleaned up their business details, wired their Google Business Profile into our client portal, and put a weekly Google post cadence on the calendar months in advance. Their local rankings are now scanned across a 49-point map grid every week, on five keywords covering every service line, so progress is measured instead of guessed. Here's how the local map grid works.
Where it stands
Weeks after launch, the core is locked down. Across the studio's home territory, Pilates MN averages a map rank of 1.4 for "pilates studio", 1.6 for "pilates reformer", and 1.7 for "pilates classes", ranking first to third at every single grid point where it appears.
We publish these scans because the honest version is more useful than the shiny one: the gray dots are real too. The studio's visibility today reaches about a third of the 10-mile grid, and the physical therapy and massage practices barely register in search yet, despite being excellent in the building. That's the running campaign: weekly Google posts through the fall, service-line content, and review growth on a 4.9-star base the franchises can't match. The rankings compound from here, and the grid will show it either way.
What this means for your business
Pilates MN's problem is the most common one in local business: being genuinely better than the competition and invisible next to it. The fix was the same system we run for roofers and every other local trade: a website that finally tells the real story, a Google Business Profile that works every week, and measurement honest enough to show what's won and what's next.
