How much should your website actually cost?
Five questions. An honest 2026 estimate, plus a comparison against DIY builders and managed platforms.

Answer at least Q2 (pages) and Q5 (support) to see your number.
How the math works
1. The build itself. This is the one-time investment to get a site shipped. Range: $0 (DIY) to $30,000+ (high-end agency). At SkillMammoth, our three packages are $999 (Lite), $2,999 (Core), and $7,999 (Pro), all available as one-time payment or monthly Easy Start financing.
2. Ongoing care. Hosting, security updates, content edits, SEO maintenance, reporting. Most operators forget about this until month 6 when they realize they need to change a phone number and there's nobody to call. Range: $0/mo (DIY) to $2,500/mo (managed marketing platforms). Our support plans are $299/mo (Essentials), $699/mo (Growth), or $1,499/mo (Authority).
3. Your time. The single biggest cost on DIY platforms. A "free" Wix site takes 200+ hours to build well. At $50/hr (a low estimate of your hourly value), that's $10,000 in opportunity cost, invisible in the price tag, but absolutely real.
About our Easy Start pricing
If a one-time check for $999, $2,999, or $7,999 isn't how you'd rather buy, our Easy Start option spreads the build payment across the financing term and pairs it with your support plan, so you start with a single predictable monthly invoice from day one. Easy Start adds the build cost on top of whichever support plan you pick:
- Lite Easy Start: $179/mo build cost for 8 months, on top of your support plan
- Core Easy Start: $179/mo build cost for 18 months, on top of your support plan
- Pro Easy Start: $499/mo build cost for 18 months, on top of your support plan
You can upgrade your support plan to Growth ($699/mo) or Authority ($1,499/mo) at any point, the build financing portion stays the same. Most clients start on Essentials and upgrade once organic SEO traffic kicks in around month 6.
