TL;DR
Built-Right Digital is a contractor marketing agency that publishes its full rate card, which is rare and worth crediting. Websites run $5,750 to $14,390 one-time. Service lines are priced separately: SEO from $999 a month, AEO from $2,999, Google Ads from $999, Meta from $1,999, Local Service Ads setup at $299. Full-service packages are gated by revenue and run $1,199 a month at the bottom to $19,999 at the top.
Skill Mammoth publishes too. Websites are $1,000 to $8,000 one-time and monthly support is $350 to $1,500.
The gap is roughly 5x at the entry point and much wider above that. What the extra buys is media buying, which we do not offer at all. If paid media is the plan, they can run it and we cannot. If your leads are arriving and dying before anyone calls back, more ad spend makes that worse, not better.
Published pricing, side by side
Both sets of figures come from each company's own pricing page.
| Line | Built-Right Digital | Skill Mammoth |
|---|---|---|
| Entry website | $5,750 one-time, or $599/mo | $1,000 one-time |
| Mid website | $9,590, or $999/mo | $3,000 |
| Top website | $14,390, or $1,499/mo | $8,000 |
| SEO | $999/mo, or $3,499 for competitive metros | $350 to $1,500/mo |
| AI search / AEO | $2,999/mo, priced separately | Included in monthly plans |
| Local Service Ads | $299/mo setup plan | Included |
| Google Ads | $999/mo | Not offered |
| Meta Ads | $1,999/mo | Not offered |
| Verdict | Their floor sits above our ceiling on most lines. Different tiers of the same market. | |
The revenue gates
Their full-service packages are sold against your revenue rather than your problem, which tells you who the product is built for.
| Package | Built for | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials | New businesses | $1,199 |
| Launch | Up to $1M revenue | $2,099 |
| Scale | Up to $5M revenue | $4,199 |
| Pro | $5M+ revenue | $19,999 |
| Verdict | A $19,999 monthly tier is a real anchor. Know which rung you are buying before the call. | |
Worth noting they say plainly that they do not take a percentage of ad spend or a cut of leads. Flat pricing on media buying is a genuinely good structure and not the industry norm.
Total cost of ownership (12 months)
| Scenario | Year one |
|---|---|
| Skill Mammoth: Core site + Essentials | $3,000 + $350/mo = $7,200 |
| Skill Mammoth: Core site + Growth | $3,000 + $750/mo = $12,000 |
| Built-Right: entry site + SEO | $5,750 + $999/mo = $17,738 |
| Built-Right: Launch package | $2,099/mo = $25,188 |
| Built-Right: Scale package | $4,199/mo = $50,388 |
| Verdict | Roughly 2x to 4x our mid tier, before ad spend, which is separate. |
Run it against your own average job. At a $9,000 roof closing one in four, a $25,000 year needs about eleven extra booked jobs before you are ahead. That is a fair question to put to any agency, ours included.
Core positioning difference
Built-Right is a media-buying agency. Google Ads, Meta, streaming TV and radio all appear on their rate card, and the packages bundle listings, on-page and off-page SEO with paid channels under one monthly number. That model works when you have budget to put into market and want one team pointing it.
Skill Mammoth is a conversion practice. We build the site, the local search presence and the follow-up systems underneath, then measure booked jobs rather than impressions. We run Local Service Ads and nothing else paid.
Neither is better in the abstract. They fail differently. A media agency fails when spend goes into a funnel that cannot convert. A boutique fails when the constraint really is demand and there is no budget behind it.

"Not advertised" means their site does not list it. Ask rather than assuming either way.
What Built-Right does better
Their pricing transparency deserves the first mention. Publishing a full rate card including a $19,999 tier is more honest than the contact-us wall most agencies hide behind, and it lets you disqualify yourself in two minutes instead of two sales calls.
They also run paid media properly, on a flat fee rather than a percentage of spend. For a contractor who needs demand now, in a market where organic will take nine months, that is the right tool and we do not have it.
Their channel list is wider too. Streaming TV and radio are not things a boutique touches, and for a multi-location brand building regional awareness they matter.
Who each fits best
Built-Right fits you if paid media is central, you have budget to put into market on top of the retainer, and you want one team across search, social and broadcast. Their tiers assume you know your revenue band and are buying to that.
Skill Mammoth fits you if you are between $500K and $5M, a four-figure monthly floor would hurt, and your real constraint is that leads arrive and nobody follows up. Most contractors who call us do not have a demand problem. They have a follow-up problem, and buying more traffic multiplies it.
Questions to ask on their sales call
- Which tier am I in, and what changes when I cross the revenue line?
- Is ad spend included in the package price or billed on top?
- Does AEO at $2,999 make sense for my market, honestly?
- What happens between a lead form submission and someone phoning the homeowner?
- What do I keep if I leave: domain, site files, content, tracking data?
- Can I see results for a contractor my size rather than your flagship accounts?
Ask us the same six. The fourth is the one most agencies cannot answer.

FAQ
How much does Built-Right Digital cost? They publish it. Websites are $5,750, $9,590 or $14,390 one-time, or $599 to $1,499 a month. SEO starts at $999 a month, AEO at $2,999, Google Ads at $999 and Meta at $1,999. Full-service packages run $1,199 to $19,999 a month depending on your revenue band.
Do they take a percentage of ad spend? No. They state plainly that pricing is flat rather than a percentage of spend or a cut of leads, which is a better structure than the industry norm.
Why is Skill Mammoth cheaper? Smaller team, narrower service list, and no media buying practice. We are not doing the same job at a discount, we are doing a smaller job.
Does Skill Mammoth run Google Ads or Meta? No. We manage Local Service Ads only. If paid media is central to your plan, Built-Right is the better fit.
Which is better for a contractor under $1M? Depends on the constraint. If nobody knows you exist, paid media buys demand faster. If the phone rings and jobs still go elsewhere, spend the money on response speed and follow-up first.
Can I use both? Yes, and some contractors do. Media buying from them, site and conversion systems from us. There is no conflict.
