GoHighLevel vs HubSpot (2026): Flat Fee vs Per Seat

    TL;DR

GoHighLevel is $97, $297 or $497 a month flat for unlimited users and contacts, plus usage (texts at $0.00747 a segment, email at $0.675 per thousand, numbers at $1.15). HubSpot is free for two users, $7 a seat on the current Sales Starter promotion ($20 list), then $90 a seat plus a $1,500 onboarding fee for Sales Professional, and $800 a month plus $3,000 onboarding for Marketing Hub Professional. Both read from the vendors' pricing pages in October 2026. For an agency running ten client accounts, GoHighLevel's $297 Unlimited tier against ten HubSpot portals is not a contest. For a five-person sales team that wants a CRM and nothing else, HubSpot Starter at $35 a month beats GoHighLevel's $97. For a small business that wants marketing automation (funnels, texting, nurture sequences) without an agency, GoHighLevel's $97 does what HubSpot charges $800 plus $3,000 for, with a steeper learning curve and no free tier. Neither one dispatches a truck.

Disclosure: Skill Mammoth has no arrangement with GoHighLevel or HubSpot. We build client systems on our own software rather than on either platform, and we are a Jobber partner (readers get 20 percent off through our link, and we earn a commission), which matters only for the last section. Several of our clients run HubSpot's free CRM well.

GoHighLevel's HighLevel vs HubSpot comparison page claiming up to 88 percent savings, with Starter at $97, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497
GoHighLevel's own comparison page, October 2026. The "save up to 88 percent" headline compares its $97 Starter to HubSpot's $800 Marketing Professional, which is a fair comparison for exactly one kind of buyer.

Onboarding feeNone$1,500 to $7,000 depending on hub and tier
VerdictGoHighLevel's meter is usage; HubSpot's meter is seats and contacts. A company with many users and a short list pays less on GoHighLevel. A company with few users and a long list pays less on HubSpot until it needs automation, and then the bill jumps by $800 a month.

    Three buyers, three bills

VerdictThe agency and the automation-hungry small business belong on GoHighLevel. The sales-only team belongs on HubSpot. The mistake is a sales-only team buying GoHighLevel for the price and then paying an operator to run it, or a small business buying HubSpot Starter for the price and discovering the automation it wanted is $800 away.

    Where GoHighLevel wins

Agencies, which is who it was built for. Sub-accounts, white-label, SaaS mode at $497 and rebilling of phone and email at cost or at a markup are features HubSpot does not have at any price, and GoHighLevel's own page claims 180,000-plus businesses on the platform. The second win is the flat meter: unlimited users and unlimited contacts at every tier means a 12-person team with a 40,000-contact list pays $97 plus usage, where HubSpot would price the seats and the marketing contacts separately. The third is breadth at the bottom: funnels, calendars, two-way texting, workflows, reputation management and a membership builder are all in Starter, and the pieces we rated highest when we built the GoHighLevel pricing breakdown are the ones HubSpot sells in separate hubs.

    Where HubSpot wins

Free, and polished. Two users with contacts, deals, forms and email for nothing is a better free CRM than GoHighLevel's trial, and the interface is the reason HubSpot has a lower support load: a new salesperson is productive in an afternoon, and a new GoHighLevel user is productive after a course. Reporting and attribution are deeper on HubSpot at the Professional tier, the integration marketplace is larger, and the data model (companies, deals, tickets, custom objects) suits B2B sales with multiple contacts per account in a way GoHighLevel's contact-centric design does not. If the buyer is a marketing team with a budget for Marketing Hub Professional, the HubSpot pricing guide explains what $800 and the $3,000 fee buy, and nothing on GoHighLevel's side matches the attribution reporting.

What the vendor comparison pages leave out

GoHighLevel's page says HubSpot's Marketing Hub "starts at $800 a month," which is the Professional tier; Marketing Hub Starter exists at $7 to $20 a seat with email and forms, and it is the honest comparison for a small business that only needs those. HubSpot's own Starter page says nothing about the $1,500 onboarding fee waiting at Professional. GoHighLevel's pricing page lists $97 and leaves the usage sheet (texts, numbers, A2P registration, AI minutes, email) on a separate page; a business sending 5,000 texts and 50,000 emails a month adds about $75 to its $97. Both pages are accurate about their own headline and quiet about their own cliff. Price both from the usage sheets, on the day you decide, for your actual volumes.

    What neither one does

Dispatch a crew. Neither GoHighLevel nor HubSpot has scheduling with routing, recurring visits, crew time tracking or field invoicing at any tier. A plumbing, HVAC, lawn care or cleaning company that buys either one as "the CRM" runs the calendar in a second product and types every customer twice. The contractor CRM guide covers the platforms built for that, starting with Jobber at $29 a month billed annually, and if GoHighLevel is on your list because an agency pitched it, our GoHighLevel comparison covers what you are buying when the agency owns the account.

    The decision

Two people, any businessHubSpot FreeFree and good; leave when you need a third seat or automation

Marketing team with budget and a long contact listHubSpot Marketing ProfessionalAttribution and reporting GoHighLevel does not match
You dispatch crewsNeither; a field service platformScheduling is the job, and both lack it
VerdictGoHighLevel for agencies and for automation at small-business prices; HubSpot for free, for sales-only teams, and for marketing departments with real budgets. If the deciding factor is "which one can my team actually run," that is HubSpot, and the honest list of other options is in our GoHighLevel alternatives and HubSpot alternatives guides.

Not sure which category you are shopping in?

Half the companies comparing GoHighLevel and HubSpot need a field service platform, and a third of the rest need the free tier they already have. Fifteen minutes with your lead flow sorts it.
