TL;DR
Phoenix SEO companies divide by who runs your account. Founder-led boutiques: Soderman SEO (since 2006, HVAC, roofing and pest control named on the homepage, no contracts, Clutch Top SEO Company 2025), Phoenix SEO Geek (a 203-step "Omni Protocol," a map-pack pin, and an earnings disclaimer in the footer) and SEO Phoenix (pay-after-results pricing). Clutch-rated small agencies: Ivio Agency (2014, $5,000 minimum, 5.0 on 17 reviews) and Phoenix Online Media (Gilbert, 2011, $1,000 minimum). Service-business specialists: LocalFi SEO (Scottsdale). Enterprise: Zion & Zion (Tempe, Phoenix Suns and NASCAR on the client wall). Skill Mammoth (ours, remote) is the flat-fee option at $350 to $1,500 a month. Two of the eight print a number; the rest quote after a call. Everything here was read from the agencies' own sites and Clutch on October 13, 2026.
Disclosure first: Skill Mammoth is a Minneapolis agency that serves Arizona contractors remotely, and we are on this list. The seven Phoenix shops are ranked the way we rank our national roundups and the Denver list: by who each one fits, what they charge when they will say, and what we would tell a friend. Where an agency publishes no price, the table says so instead of guessing.
What the Phoenix results look like
Search "seo company phoenix" on October 13, 2026 and the map pack holds three pins (a Phoenix SEO Company listing, Phoenix SEO Geek and a listing titled Phoenix SEO). Under it, organic position two is Soderman SEO, then Thrive's Phoenix page (a Texas agency), the Semrush directory, SEO Phoenix, a domain-rating-one site, Clutch, LocalFi, a Loopex roundup and Simply Digital's list. Three real Phoenix agencies with domain ratings between 26 and 52 sit on page one next to directories, which means the organic field is open and the map pack is where the local shops actually fight. Google's own list is not a ranking of quality. It is a ranking of who optimized for this phrase.
1. Skill Mammoth (ours)
The flat-fee option: local SEO at $350, $750 or $1,500 a month, sites at $1,000, $3,000 or $8,000, no contracts. AI search optimization sits inside the SEO tiers rather than being sold separately. We are a performance shop for home service contractors and local practices, and we already model the Phoenix market: our Phoenix HVAC page counts 1,385 HVAC businesses on Google Maps within 40 km of downtown, "ac repair Phoenix" at 2,400 searches a month with a $71.29 top-of-page bid, and a map pack where the five busiest listings average tens of thousands of reviews (Parker & Sons alone sits near 35,000). Honest limitation: we are not in the Valley, we do not run brand campaigns for sports teams, and a 200-page ecommerce catalog belongs with the enterprise shop at the bottom of this list.
2. Soderman SEO
East Bell Road, "ranking clients since 2006." It is the top organic result for the city's SEO keyword, which is the credential this category should start with. The site names HVAC, roofing, pest control, plumbing, carpet cleaning, dental and landscaping among 50-plus industries. It says the team is "intentionally small," that founder Randy Soderman personally leads every campaign, and that there is no long-term contract. Pricing is not published; quotes follow a free audit. Credentials on the page: Clutch Top SEO Company 2025, a Best of Our Valley award, and self-reported figures of 200-plus active clients and 2,500-plus websites ranked. Fit: a Phoenix contractor who wants the founder on the account and can accept a quote instead of a menu.
3. Phoenix SEO Geek
North 7th Street, co-owned by Travis Wilkie, "since 2005" per the homepage copy. It holds one of the three map-pack pins. The pitch is a proprietary 203-step process called the Omni Protocol, with claims of "up to 300 new calls each month" and revenue moving "from 5 or 6 figures to 7 figures in less than a year." No prices, no package tiers, a free audit and quote, and an earnings disclaimer linked in the footer, which is an unusual thing to find on an SEO agency site and worth reading before the call. Case studies cover a fire pit company, a lawn care company and a construction company. Fit: an owner who wants a defined process and will judge it on the audit rather than on the headline.
4. SEO Phoenix (My Biz Niche)
North Central Avenue downtown, a division of My Biz Niche, and organic position six. The distinguishing offer is performance pricing: "Witness high rankings, then compensate us," with no amounts on the page. Services run from SEO to web design and PPC. The 18 testimonials span a medical device company, a Scottsdale dental office and a motorsports business. No founding year, no aggregate rating on the site. Fit: a business that has been burned by retainers and wants the agency to carry the first risk. Ask how "results" are defined and when the meter starts.
5. LocalFi SEO
Scottsdale (East Indian School Road), serving the whole Valley, and organic position nine. LocalFi is built for service businesses: junk removal, electricians, contractors, dentists and auto repair are the named verticals, and the offers are a free AI visibility audit, a free business scan and Google Business Profile work. No prices and no founding year on the site. The case studies are ranking claims rather than lead numbers. Fit: a single-location service business that wants map-pack work and an AI-search read without an enterprise retainer.

6. Ivio Agency
Downtown Phoenix, founded 2014, two to nine people. A 5.0 on 17 Clutch reviews with a $5,000 minimum project and a $100 to $149 hourly rate on its profile. Ivio is a branding and web design shop that does SEO and content, not an SEO shop that does design. Fit: a company redoing its brand and site that wants the search work built in from the first wireframe.
7. Phoenix Online Media
Gilbert and Phoenix, founded 2011, ten to 49 people. Clutch has it at 4.9 on seven reviews with a $1,000 minimum. Website design and local SEO for small businesses across the East Valley. The low minimum and the East Valley base make it the closest thing on this list to a neighborhood shop for Gilbert, Chandler and Mesa owners.
8. Zion & Zion
Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe, with offices listed in four other cities. The client wall includes the Phoenix Suns, NASCAR, Goodwill, American Eagle Outfitters and IBM. Zion & Zion is a full-service agency with a customer data platform practice and in-house media buying. It names home building and real estate development, home improvement and healthcare among its verticals. No pricing. Fit: a regional brand or developer with a six-figure annual budget and a marketing team to manage the agency.
Three more names from Clutch
Clutch's Phoenix SEO page also lists Web Tonic (5.0 on 41 reviews, $5,000 minimum, a Phoenix office for an agency whose own site runs more than 5,000 location pages), Youtech (a Scottsdale office of an Illinois agency, $5,000 minimum, $200 to $300 an hour, Local Services Ads management) and Konstruct Digital, which Clutch tags Phoenix but whose site carries a Clutch Canada badge and a B2B industrial client list. SmartSites (369 reviews) shows a Phoenix address and is headquartered in New Jersey. Directory lists are built from addresses, not from where the work happens.

For contractors specifically
Phoenix HVAC runs on a calendar most agencies elsewhere never see: cooling demand from March through November, a map pack where the five busiest listings average tens of thousands of reviews, and a $71 top-of-page bid on "ac repair Phoenix." That bid is why a Phoenix HVAC, roofing or plumbing company should fund Local Services Ads (billed per lead) before search ads (billed per click), and why the review count is the first number any agency should quote back to you. Soderman names the trades; LocalFi names service businesses; the brand shops do not. Our Phoenix HVAC marketing page carries the full numbers, and the Arizona statewide page covers Tucson and the rest of the state.
How to choose between them
Three questions sort this list fast. What would you do in the first 90 days, specifically, and which of those things is a page I can read today? Who owns the site, the content and the ad accounts when we part ways? And can you show me a client in my industry ranking right now, in Phoenix, on your phone? Then ask for the price before the proposal. The budget math behind that last question is in our guide to what SEO costs.
One local note
The Valley is six markets wearing one name. Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale and Peoria each run their own map pack, and a company in Surprise does not rank in Queen Creek no matter how good the agency is. Whoever you hire should talk about city-level rankings across the East and West Valley unprompted. If the pitch is one Phoenix rank number, the plan was written for a city that does not work this way.
Frequently asked questions
Who are the best SEO companies in Phoenix?
By fit: Skill Mammoth for contractors and practices under $1,500 a month (ours, remote), Soderman SEO for home service trades that want a founder-led boutique, Phoenix SEO Geek for owners who want a defined process, SEO Phoenix for pay-after-results pricing, LocalFi for single-location service businesses, Ivio for brand plus site plus SEO, Phoenix Online Media for East Valley small businesses, and Zion & Zion for regional brands.
How much does SEO cost in Phoenix?
Almost no Phoenix agency publishes a retainer. The signals on October 13, 2026: Ivio Agency and Web Tonic list $5,000 minimum projects on Clutch, Phoenix Online Media lists $1,000, hourly rates cluster at $100 to $149, and SEO Phoenix prices on results. Skill Mammoth's flat tiers are $350, $750 and $1,500 a month. Soderman, Phoenix SEO Geek and LocalFi quote after an audit.
Which Phoenix SEO agency is best for a contractor?
Soderman SEO names HVAC, roofing, plumbing, pest control and landscaping on its homepage and holds the top organic spot for the city's SEO keyword. LocalFi works with electricians, contractors and junk removal. Skill Mammoth models the Phoenix HVAC market directly, prices flat, and starts with Local Services Ads because of the $71 search bids.
Do I need a Phoenix agency or can a remote one work?
Local knowledge helps with the East and West Valley map packs and the cooling calendar. It is not a requirement: a remote agency that reports Scottsdale, Mesa and Chandler rankings separately will beat a local one that reports a single Phoenix number. Two of the agencies on this page are offices of out-of-state firms.
What should I ask a Phoenix SEO company on the first call?
What they would do in the first 90 days, who owns the site and ad accounts at exit, which current client in your industry you can look at, whether they manage Local Services Ads, and the monthly price before the proposal. Any shop that answers all five on the first call belongs on your shortlist.
