TL;DR
Denver has more SEO companies per capita than almost any metro its size, and the ones worth calling sort by budget before they sort by skill. Under $1,000 a month: Skill Mammoth (ours, remote, flat $350 to $1,500 tiers). $2,500 to $4,000: Epidemic Marketing (packages start at $2,499, strong with HVAC, plumbers and personal injury firms), Peaks Digital Marketing (about $2,500 minimum, medical and legal), Blennd (SEO from $2,500 to $4,000, publishes its ranges). Enterprise and multi-location: Volume Nine (Denver's longest-running pure SEO shop, Clutch 5.0 on 33 reviews, month to month), Webolutions (since 1994, $20 million a year in managed ad spend) and Location3 (franchise systems since 1999). Every price on this page came from the agency's own site or Clutch profile on October 12, 2026; most Denver shops still make you book a call to hear a number.
Disclosure up front: Skill Mammoth is a Minneapolis agency, we serve Colorado contractors remotely, and we are on this list. The other seven are Denver shops we would lose deals to in the right matchup, ranked with the same rules as our national roundups: who each one fits, what they charge when they will say, and what we would tell you off the record. If you want the shorter version of this exercise for our own city, the Minneapolis list runs the same way.
Why the Denver search results are strange
Type "seo company denver" into Google and the organic results underneath the map pack are, as of October 12, 2026, a Yelp listing, two Facebook pages, a Magento agency directory and three single-page sites with a domain rating of zero. That is not what a competitive SERP looks like. It means the map pack is doing the work: Epidemic Marketing and Peaks Digital Marketing hold two of the three pins, and the agencies with real client lists (Volume Nine, Webolutions, Blennd) rank for their own names and for the terms their clients care about, not for this one. So the list below is not the Google order. It is the order a contractor, a clinic or a franchise should actually call in.
1. Skill Mammoth (ours)
We are the budget option on this page, on purpose. Local SEO runs $350, $750 or $1,500 a month on published flat tiers with no contract, websites are $1,000, $3,000 or $8,000, and AI search optimization (showing up when a homeowner asks ChatGPT for a roofer) is built into the SEO tiers rather than sold as an add-on. The fit is home service contractors and local practices that need the map pack and a site that converts, in a market we already model: our Colorado roofing page is built around the Front Range hail calendar, because the Denver metro regularly lands in the top three US metros for hail claims and insurance restoration is the roofing economy here. Honest limitation: we are not in Denver, we will never meet you for coffee on Larimer, and a 400-page ecommerce catalog or a 60-location franchise is better served by three of the shops below.
2. Volume Nine
Founded October 2, 2007, billing address on 17th Street downtown, now a fully remote team run from Denver. V9 is the closest thing the city has to a pure SEO institution: SEO, content, GEO (their term for AI search), social and paid, with a Clutch 1000 award in 2025 and a 5.0 rating across 33 Clutch reviews. Clutch lists a $1,000 minimum project and a $150 to $199 hourly rate, and V9's own site says month-to-month contracts and "no cookie-cutter packages," which in practice means a custom retainer well above that minimum. Fit: mid-market brands and B2B companies that want a senior strategist and are past the point where a package makes sense. Not the fit: a two-truck plumber.
3. Epidemic Marketing
Since 2009, on East Speer Boulevard, with a second footprint in San Diego County. Epidemic is the only Denver SEO shop in this group that prints a floor: "Our SEO packages start at $2499/month," with audits from about $1,000 and a proposal form whose budget bands run $2,000 to $7,500 and up. The FAQ names the trades they have had the most success with, HVAC, plumbers, tree services, dentists, restaurants and personal injury attorneys, and they manage Google Local Services Ads alongside the organic work, which matters because in Denver's licensed trades LSAs usually produce the cheaper lead. They hold one of the three map pins for the city's own SEO keyword. Fit: a contractor or practice with $2,500 to $5,000 a month who wants a local shop that already knows the trade.
4. Peaks Digital Marketing
West 12th Avenue, a 4.9 rating from 65-plus reviews on its site, Semrush-certified, and the other local-pack regular. Peaks sells SEO in three named tiers (Expedition, Summit, Everest) that scale on blog count and links per month: three to five links on the entry tier, eight to twelve on the top one. The tiers carry no prices on the pricing page; the only numbers printed there are social media packages at $1,500 and $2,500 a month, and a third-party roundup cites a $2,500 minimum from the agency's Semrush profile. Verticals named on the site: medical, personal injury and family law, dentists, SaaS, home services and roofing, franchises. Fit: a practice that wants a link-building program it can see itemized.
5. Blennd
Lawrence Street in RiNo, and the one agency here that publishes real ranges for every service. From its own site on October 12, 2026: SEO and AI visibility from $2,500 to $4,000 a month, broader programs $4,000 to $6,500 and up, paid media management $1,800 to $4,000 before spend, growth retainers $4,000 to $9,500 and up, and website rebuilds "between $20,000 and $60,000" on an 8 to 16 week timeline. Clutch has them at 4.8 on six reviews. The client mix is SaaS, health and wellness, hospitality, construction and ecommerce, and the case studies lean on conversion lifts rather than rankings, which is the right thing to lean on. Fit: a company that is redesigning the site and wants the SEO built in rather than bolted on afterward.

6. Webolutions
Founded 1994, offices at the Denver Tech Center and on Welton Street downtown, a Google Partner managing more than $20 million a year in ad spend, and voted a top Denver advertising agency by the Denver Business Journal in May 2026. Webolutions is a full-stack agency (web, SEO, paid, AI search, branding) and prices nothing publicly; the entry point is a free competitive analysis. Case studies name a 482 percent organic traffic increase for Colorado Advanced Orthopedics and $2.5 million in paid-search revenue for an auto refinance lender. Fit: a healthcare group or regional ecommerce brand that wants one vendor for the site, the ads and the search work, and has the budget a 30-year-old agency with two offices requires.
7. Location3
Technically Glendale, a few blocks past the Denver line on South Colorado Boulevard, and in business since 1999. Location3 is built for multi-location brands: franchise systems, healthcare networks, fitness chains, with a proprietary platform (LOCALACT) that runs listings, local pages and paid media per location. No pricing, no package, no small-business tier. If you own one location, this is not your call to make; if you own forty, it may be the only one on this page that is.
8. The rest of the Clutch page
Clutch's Denver SEO list also surfaces Breakline (5.0 on 37 reviews, 50 to 249 staff, $100 to $149 an hour), Firestarter SEO (4.9 on 18 reviews, $150 to $199 an hour) and SmartSites, which is a New Jersey agency with 368 reviews that lists a Denver address. All three show a $1,000 minimum project on Clutch, which is a directory field, not a retainer. Treat Clutch's minimums as a floor for a one-off project and expect monthly SEO to start at two to three times that.
What they charge, side by side
| Agency | Published price (Oct 12, 2026) | Source | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skill Mammoth (ours) | SEO $350, $750, $1,500 a month; sites $1,000 to $8,000 | skillmammoth.com/pricing | Contractors and practices under $1,500 a month |
| Volume Nine | Custom; Clutch $1,000 minimum, $150 to $199 an hour | Clutch profile | Mid-market and B2B retainers |
| Epidemic Marketing | SEO packages from $2,499 a month; audits from about $1,000 | Agency homepage | Trades and PI firms, $2,500 to $5,000 |
| Peaks Digital Marketing | SEO tiers unpriced; social $1,500 and $2,500; about $2,500 minimum reported | Agency pricing page | Medical, legal, itemized link programs |
| Blennd | SEO $2,500 to $4,000; retainers $4,000 to $9,500+; rebuilds $20,000 to $60,000 | Agency homepage | Site rebuild with SEO built in |
| Webolutions | Not published | Agency homepage | Healthcare and ecommerce, one vendor for everything |
| Location3 | Not published | Agency homepage | Franchise and multi-location systems |
| Verdict | Three of seven Denver shops will tell you a number before a call. Ask the other four for the number first; an agency that cannot say what a typical client pays has not decided whether it wants you. | ||
For contractors specifically
Denver roofing, HVAC and plumbing work on a weather calendar the agencies above do not all understand. Hail season on the Front Range runs May through August, and a roofer's SEO has to be in place by April to catch the storm searches, because a page that ranks in September caught nothing. Epidemic and Peaks both name the trades and manage Local Services Ads, which is the first channel a licensed Denver contractor should fund. Our Colorado roofing marketing page lays out the hail-season playbook and what a statewide program costs, the Denver HVAC marketing page carries the metro's own search and listing numbers, and the roofing SEO guide covers the page structure that wins storm searches in any metro.
How to choose between them
Three questions that sort this list fast. What would you do in the first 90 days, specifically, and which of those things is a page I could read today? Who owns the site, the content and the ad accounts when we part ways? Can you show me a client in my industry ranking right now, in Denver, on your phone? Then ask for the price before the proposal. The full version of that checklist, with the budget math, is in our guide to what SEO costs.
One local note
Denver search splits along I-25 and C-470 in ways a citywide rank number hides: Highlands Ranch, Aurora, Lakewood and Arvada each behave like their own map pack, and the mountain towns are a different market entirely. Whoever you hire should bring up suburb-level rankings before you do. If the pitch is one Denver rank, the plan was written for a city that does not work this way.
Frequently asked questions
Who are the best SEO companies in Denver?
By fit rather than by Google order: Skill Mammoth for contractors and practices under $1,500 a month (ours, remote), Epidemic Marketing and Peaks Digital Marketing for trades and professional practices in the $2,500 to $5,000 range, Blennd for a site rebuild with SEO built in, Volume Nine for mid-market retainers, Webolutions for healthcare and ecommerce wanting one full-service vendor, and Location3 for franchise systems.
How much does SEO cost in Denver?
Published floors from Denver agencies on October 12, 2026: Epidemic Marketing from $2,499 a month, Blennd $2,500 to $4,000 for SEO alone and $4,000 to $9,500 for growth retainers, Peaks about $2,500 minimum by third-party report. Skill Mammoth's flat tiers are $350, $750 and $1,500. Volume Nine, Webolutions and Location3 quote custom retainers after a call.
Which Denver SEO agencies publish their pricing?
Blennd publishes ranges for every service, Epidemic Marketing publishes its $2,499 starting point, and Peaks publishes tier names and link counts but only prices its social packages ($1,500 and $2,500). Volume Nine, Webolutions and Location3 do not publish prices. Skill Mammoth publishes flat tiers.
Does a Denver business need a Denver SEO agency?
Local knowledge helps with the hail calendar and the suburb-by-suburb map packs, and three of the shops above hold local-pack positions for the city's own SEO keyword. It is not a requirement: a remote agency that models the Denver market and shows suburb-level rankings will beat a local one that reports a single citywide number.
What should a contractor ask a Denver SEO company?
Whether they manage Local Services Ads as well as organic, which Denver trades they rank today, what is live by April for hail season, who owns the site and accounts at exit, and the monthly price before the proposal. Any shop that answers all five on the first call belongs on your shortlist.
