TL;DR
- JobNimbus rates 4.6 across 482 reviews on Capterra and Software Advice (one shared pool), 4.79 across 12,883 App Store ratings, 4.7 on Google Play, and 3.0 across 399 reviews on Trustpilot, all read October 31, 2026.
- The product reviews praise ease of learning, the roofing-specific job record and customizable boards. The Trustpilot crowd complains about support after onboarding ends, price increases and annual-prepay cancellations.
- The mobile app is the one complaint every platform shares. Software Advice's own summary names it as the single con.
- Pricing is request-only on four plans (Essentials, Pro, Premium, Enterprise). The Gartner listing shows $300 per user per month; one six-year customer says the base plan went from $50 to $300.
- Pick it if you are a roofing or exteriors company of 3 to 19 users that wants one job record for contracts, photos and insurance paperwork. Pick AccuLynx at larger size, Roofr if you want published prices.
- No BBB profile exists, so there is no complaint count to weigh. Trustpilot is where the unhappy customers go, and the vendor has not replied to any of the 80 reviews we read.
JobNimbus is the roofing CRM, by its own description and by the reviews. It was founded in Lehi, Utah in 2013, took $53 million from Mainsail Partners at the end of 2020, bought SumoQuote and Roofer Marketers along the way, and says more than 8,000 contractors use it. The vendor's own pages print "4.8 from 8,000+ contractors" and "No. 1 Roofing Software on G2". This post is what the reviews say instead, platform by platform, with the complaints named and dated, the pricing as the page prints it today, and who should buy something else. We wrote the JobNimbus pricing guide and the roofing CRM comparison and we build websites and marketing for roofers at Skill Mammoth, so we see which CRM a crew is running every week. We do not sell JobNimbus or take a referral fee from anyone on this page.
What the ratings actually say
| Platform | Rating | Reviews | What that crowd is rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capterra and Software Advice (same Gartner pool) | 4.6 | 482 | The software, mostly by office staff and owners; 68 percent five star, 1 percent one star |
| Apple App Store | 4.79 | 12,883 | The current app, version 2026.10.21, since the 2021 rebuild |
| Google Play | 4.7 | 1,737 | The Android app, updated October 27, 2026 |
| Trustpilot | 3.0 | 399 | The relationship: 52 percent five star, 21 percent one or two star, no vendor replies |
| G2 | Not readable | 100+ per the vendor | G2 blocks fetches; the only figure is JobNimbus's own claim of 4.6 |
| BBB | No profile | 0 | No listing under any spelling or location |
| Verdict | Product reviewers are happy, app users are happy, and the people who had a billing or support problem went to Trustpilot. Read the 4.6 and the 3.0 together. | ||
Two things to know about the numbers. Capterra, Software Advice and GetApp are all Gartner properties and show the same 482 reviews, so that is one dataset with three logos on it. And the Software Advice breakdown is lopsided in a way that matters: 327 five-star, 124 four-star, and only 7 reviews at one or two stars. The 3.0 on Trustpilot comes from 54 one-star reviews against 206 five-star, which is a different crowd with a different grievance.
What reviewers like
Ease of learning comes first, and the quotes are specific. "It's SO EASY to figure out how to work this sytem, even without training," wrote Vicki W., an environmental services owner with two to ten staff, on Software Advice in November 2022. Scott S., a construction company of the same size, in August 2023: "Ease of use! Doesn't take a super skilled computer programmer to operate." Software Advice's own summary says new employees "quickly learn the system" without extensive training.
The second theme is the one that makes it a roofing product. Nikki C., a construction company of two to ten people, in April 2026, likes keeping contracts, photos and insurance paperwork together: "all in one system and access them from anywhere." Rebekah M., 11 to 50 employees, the same month: "Jobnimbus is great for roofers, their invoice and payment system is great," and her reason for switching was that "Jobnimbus was a cheeper option than acculynx." Nikki C. chose it for its "roofing-specific features" and the balance of flexibility and ease of use.
Third, the boards. Reviewers like that the pipeline matches their process rather than a generic one: "being able to track jobs for each status of our own process," as one Software Advice summary card puts it, and Blaine A. in 2018, "You can make it do whatever you need or want." Fourth, onboarding reps get named when it goes well. "Megan really helped and made the integration process a breeze" (Chad, Trustpilot, October 2025); "Aaron was very helpful in getting Quick Books and Jobnimbus synced" (Debbie, Trustpilot, June 2024). Fifth, pipeline visibility. Richie C. switched because "Customers were slipping through the cracks," and Nikki C. says the task tracking makes it "easy to stay on top of jobs from start to finish."
What reviewers complain about
The mobile app, on every platform. Software Advice's own summary says the app "often frustrates users" with slow performance and frequent crashes, and lacks features the desktop version has. On Google Play, Caitlin Heafner in May 2024: "Your app keeps closing out on me every single time I go to sign in and open a contact." Jonathan Yoder in July 2026, the first review on the listing: "The new 'Threads' feature is the worst update in a long time." Blaine A., who otherwise gave five stars, recommends "using the desktop version on a tablet when your in the field," and Jose C. notes there is no offline mode, so in a dead spot "you will have zero ability to pull up contact details or address."
Support after onboarding is the strongest one-star theme on Trustpilot in 2025 and 2026. Ken Cope, February 2026: "Have been told numerous times we can't get any training since we had our two onboarding calls." Margarita, January 2026: "There's no one to train and no calls or emails back." Keely Brewster, July 2026: "Had 5 different account managers in 1 year, each had to start over and criticize what previous did," on an account she calls "a waste of $60k." Tom Prince, June 2025: "Once the onboarding is done from their standpoint it's like they don't care at all anymore." The praise for named onboarding reps and the complaints about what comes after sit on the same Trustpilot page, and both are true: the first two calls are good, and the line after them is thin.
Price increases and add-ons are third. A six-year roofing customer on Trustpilot in July 2026: "Raising the price multiple times a year. From $50 to $300 for base plan while not providing more value." That is one reviewer's figure, but it lines up with the $300 per user per month the Gartner listing now shows. Maria Lopez, March 2026: "almost every practical function required additional payments," and adding team members "was especially costly, especially when comparing to other platforms like Jobber." Matthew O., a free-trial user who still gave four stars, says the product "really doesn't do what it claims" unless you already pay for EagleView.
Fourth, annual prepay and cancellation. Four one-star Trustpilot reviews from 2023 to 2026 describe the same shape. Nicole, November 2023: "Within two weeks of making the annual upfront payment, we discovered that Job Nimbus lacked critical features," and no refund followed. Ryan Dority, May 2025, was told he had to cancel two weeks before the term ended and says the company "attempted to continue to charge my credit card countless times." Kyle J, August 2026: "when we contacted our account manager to cancel, communication suddenly stopped." The pricing page says you do not have to sign a long-term contract and offers monthly or annual agreements; the reviews say read the annual one before paying it.
Fifth, bugs. "It is beta test software at its best," from the same six-year customer, who describes "invoices and estimates with random extra pages auto printing," a complaint Jose C. made in 2021 and the vendor said was fixed in 2023. William H. in December 2025, four stars, still reports a photos page that says "failed uploads" when nothing failed. Sixth, photos and integrations: Mark R. says a photo limit "eliminated 2000 pictures that we had uploaded," two reviewers want the photos to work like CompanyCam, and JR, eight years on Contractors Cloud before switching, says the Beacon and SRS pricing integration "is still not accurate" after four months.
Pricing, as the page prints it
On October 31, 2026 the pricing page prints no dollar figure at all. Four plans, each with a Request Pricing button: Essentials for up to 3 users with 3 project boards and 10 automations, Pro for up to 10 users with 5 boards and 30 automations, Premium for up to 19 users with unlimited boards, 100 automations and premium support, and Enterprise for 20 or more users, launched October 15, 2026, with unlimited locations and integrations. Two add-on bundles, Marketing and Communications, are also request-only. The FAQ offers a 14-day free trial with no card and describes "an account-based price for the CRM" plus role-specific pricing for admin, sales and field users. The third-party figures, $300 per user per month on the Gartner listing and the $225 to $550 plan tiers reported in our pricing guide, are not on the vendor's page, and the reviews above suggest the number you are quoted depends on who is asking.

Who JobNimbus is right for
Roofing, restoration, gutters, siding and solar companies between three and nineteen users, which is the Essentials to Premium range, that want contracts, photos, estimates and insurance paperwork on one job record and are willing to run the office side on a desktop or tablet. The supplier integrations with ABC Supply, SRS Roof Hub and QXO, plus EagleView and Hover for measurements, are the moat; no general field service tool has them. Companies with a dedicated office manager who can own the setup get the most out of the boards. The JobNimbus product line now includes financing through Wisetack (October 2026) and a free analytics suite, both of which make more sense at ten users than at three.
Who should pick something else
Three groups. Companies that live in the field on a phone, because the app is the weakest part of the product by every platform's reviews. Companies that need published prices to budget, because there are none; Roofr prints a free Starter tier, Measure+ at $109, Essentials at $249 and Scale at $349 a month, and the roofing software comparison covers the rest. And companies that are not roofing or exteriors. A plumber or an HVAC company gets a better fit, a better app and a published price from Jobber or Housecall Pro, both reviewed in the HVAC CRM comparison.
JobNimbus versus the alternatives, quickly
| Alternative | How reviewers bring it up | Published price | Better fit when |
|---|---|---|---|
| AccuLynx | Mentioned in six of the reviews we read, in both directions; three one-star reviewers recommend it even though it costs more | Quote only | Larger roofing companies that want deeper reporting and will pay for it |
| Roofr | Not mentioned by any reviewer, but sells to the same buyer | $0, $109, $249, $349 a month | Measurements and proposals first, a lighter CRM is fine |
| Contractors Cloud | One reviewer switched from it after eight years and regretted it | $65 to $85 per user plus $950 activation | Per-user billing for a seasonal crew |
| Jobber | Named as the cheaper comparison on seats | From $29 a month | Any trade other than roofing, or a crew under five |
| Verdict | JobNimbus for roofing companies of 3 to 19 that will run the office on a desktop. AccuLynx above that. Roofr if you want a price before the call. | ||
The verdict
The 4.6 is earned on the product, and the 3.0 is earned on the relationship. If you buy JobNimbus, buy it monthly until the first renewal, get the support terms after onboarding in writing, budget for EagleView and the photo tool you already use, and plan for the field crew to work from a tablet. Do that and the reviews say you will like it. Pay annually up front on the strength of the demo and the Trustpilot page says you may not.
Frequently asked questions
Is JobNimbus any good?
For a roofing or exteriors company of 3 to 19 users, the reviews say yes. It rates 4.6 across 482 reviews on Capterra and Software Advice and 4.79 across 12,883 App Store ratings, with ease of learning, the roofing-specific job record and customizable boards the most praised features. The weak points are the mobile app, support after onboarding, and price increases.
Why is JobNimbus rated 3.0 on Trustpilot?
Because Trustpilot is where billing and support complaints go. Of 399 reviews, 206 are five star and 54 are one star, and the one-star themes are training that stops after two onboarding calls and price increases, plus cancellation trouble on annual prepay. The company has not replied to any of the 80 most recent reviews we read.
How much does JobNimbus cost?
The vendor prints no price; all four plans (Essentials, Pro, Premium, Enterprise) are Request Pricing as of October 31, 2026. The Gartner listing shows $300 per user per month, one six-year customer reports the base plan rising from $50 to $300, and third-party reports put plans at $225 to $550 a month. There is a 14-day free trial with no card.
Is JobNimbus better than AccuLynx?
Cheaper, by the reviewers who switched, and easier to learn. AccuLynx is the one three unhappy JobNimbus customers recommended instead, for reporting and stability, and it costs more. Below ten users JobNimbus usually wins on price; above twenty the reviews lean AccuLynx.
Does JobNimbus have a good mobile app?
The store ratings are high (4.79 on iOS, 4.7 on Android) but the written reviews on every platform complain about crashes, slow performance, forced re-logins and missing desktop features, and there is no offline mode. Reviewers who like the product recommend running the desktop version on a tablet in the field.
Can you cancel JobNimbus?
The pricing page says no long-term contract is required and offers monthly or annual agreements. Reviewers on annual prepay describe no refunds, a two-week-before-renewal cancellation window and account managers who stopped replying. Get the cancellation terms in writing before paying for a year.
