TL;DR
Thryv is a $99 to $399 a month small-business platform (CRM, scheduling, invoicing, listings, reviews, social, a website builder) sold by the company that used to print the Yellow Pages. The software reviews are fine: 4.3 on G2 across about 1,989 reviews, 4.2 on Capterra across 505. The company reviews are not: 2.6 on Trustpilot across 442 reviews, 58 percent of them one star, and the recent ones are about cancellation, billing after cancellation and collections rather than about the product. Thryv Holdings reported 95,000 SaaS subscribers at $394 average monthly revenue in its second quarter of 2026, with a $16.7 million net loss and a restructuring plan. For a contractor the verdict is simple: a competent generalist with a sales culture you need to read the contract against, and no dispatch, routing or crew tools at any price.

What Thryv is, and where it came from
Thryv Holdings (NASDAQ: THRY, Dallas) is the company formed from Dex Media and DexYP, the Yellow Pages publishers. The print directory business is now called Marketing Services inside the company and is shrinking on schedule; the software, launched in 2017 and expanded by the purchase of Keap in late 2024, is the future the company is selling to investors. That lineage explains both halves of this review. The product was built to give a plumber or a salon one login for the things a Yellow Pages ad used to promise (be found, get called, get paid). The sales organization was built to sell directory ads on annual contracts, and the reviews suggest it has not fully changed.
Thryv pricing in October 2026
| Plan | Price | Users | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99 a month | 1 | Digital marketing score, AI website builder, listings to 60-plus directories, AI review management, trackable phone numbers, performance insights, 24/7 chat support. No Google Business Profile or Yelp management. |
| Signature | $399 a month ("Recommended") | 5, plus 5 social profiles | Everything in Starter plus social media management, an SEO and AEO custom website, advanced listings, competitive insights and heatmap, AI lead insights, 24/7 phone and email support, 25 AI captions and images. |
| Custom | Quote | Quote | Signature plus the Boosts suite: done-for-you ads, search, social and brand programs, none priced on the page. |
| Verdict | Annual billing takes 15 percent off. A $250 onboarding fee appears on the page as "waived." The page does not state a contract length or cancellation terms, which is the first thing to ask for in writing. | ||
This is a simpler menu than Thryv ran a year ago, when the product was sold as separate "centers": Business Center (CRM, scheduling, invoicing) at $228, $382 and $533 a month per location, Marketing Center at $228 and $358, a free Command Center inbox with $20 and $30 seats, and bundles at $456, $610 and $761, per a 2026 contractor software review. If a sales rep quotes you a center price, you are being sold the old structure; ask for the Starter and Signature numbers the website shows. One more number from the company's own reporting: average revenue per SaaS subscriber was $394 a month in the second quarter of 2026, which means the typical Thryv customer is paying Signature money, not Starter money.
What the reviews say, by platform
| Platform | Score | Reviews | What it measures |
|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.3 of 5 | About 1,989 | Software users, mostly small business; Thryv's own press cites an older 4.6 |
| Capterra | 4.2 of 5 | 505 (March 2026) | Software users |
| Trustpilot | 2.6 of 5 | 442, 104 in the last 12 months (read October 12, 2026) | Customers of the company, including legacy directory advertisers |
| Verdict | The product scores like a decent CRM. The company scores like a directory publisher. Both are true, and the gap between them is the review. | ||
The Trustpilot breakdown is 33 percent five-star and 58 percent one-star with almost nothing in between, which is the shape you get when onboarding is good and leaving is hard. The five-star reviews from September 2026 name individual onboarding staff by name and praise the setup, the website builder and the social scheduler. The one-star reviews from the same month are about process rather than product: a cancellation that "can't be done from the dashboard," an account sent to collections over a disputed ad, a $36.63 fee on an invoice issued after cancellation, cancellation emails that got no reply, and a free trial that became a six-month subscription. Thryv replies to most of them asking the reviewer to share account details privately. A separate 2026 editorial review from a contractor software site describes a six-month initial commitment that rolls to month-to-month with 30 days' written notice and a three-day refund window after signing; Thryv's pricing page does not state those terms, so get them in the order form.
What the product does well
Four things are consistently praised across G2, Capterra and the positive Trustpilot reviews. The listings sync to 60-plus directories on the entry plan, which is the chore most small businesses never do by hand. The appointment scheduling and automated reminders cut no-shows, and salons, clinics and single-truck trades say so. The unified inbox pulls calls, texts, email and social messages into one place. And the onboarding, when you get a good rep, is hands-on in a way that cheaper software is not; several reviewers credit a named person for getting them live. For a business with no software at all, the first month on Thryv is a real upgrade, and the reviews from that group are the happiest on the site.
Where it falls short for a contractor
Thryv is a generalist, and the gaps show up the day a second truck starts. There is no dispatch board, no route optimization, no price book, no crew time tracking and no job costing at any tier; a plumber on Signature is paying $399 a month for a scheduler that does not know what a service area is. The feature lists on the pricing page do not mention two-way texting on either plan, and the plan that includes estimates and invoices is not identified on the page, both of which we flagged when we built the CRM texting comparison and the contractor CRM guide. ThryvPay runs 2.6 percent plus 30 cents card-present and ACH at $1 minimum and a $9 cap, which is competitive, but it is also the one place the platform is clearly built for a trade.

The company behind the contract
Thryv's second-quarter 2026 report (August 4, 2026) matters to a buyer because a subscription is a bet on the vendor. SaaS revenue was $114.5 million, down 0.5 percent from a year earlier, with the newer products growing 21 percent and the legacy CRM shrinking against them. Marketing Services, the old directory business, was $36.2 million and falling fast as customers migrate or leave. The company posted a $16.7 million net loss against $13.9 million of net income a year earlier, cut its SaaS profit guidance, and announced a restructuring expected to save $55 million to $60 million a year. Thryv's own reading is that revenue per subscriber is up 12 percent and the new Thryv Growth Platform is the story. A skeptical reading is that a company in the middle of a cost-cutting restructuring, selling on annual commitments, has every incentive to hold customers to the term. Neither reading is an argument against the product. Both are an argument for a short initial term.
Three to skip, and who should stay
Skip the Boosts. Done-for-you ads, SEO and social from a software vendor are priced by quote on the Custom tier and are the part of Thryv closest to its directory-ad past; buy media from a shop that publishes a management fee, and compare it against our flat-fee ads page before you sign anything by quote. Skip the AI website builder if you already have a site that converts, because the SEO value of a templated site under a platform you may leave is close to zero. And skip any contract longer than the free trial plus one month until you have run a cancellation request through support and seen how long it takes to get a reply.
Stay on Thryv if you are a single-location service business with no software today, you want listings, scheduling, reminders, invoicing and reviews in one login, and you will never dispatch a crew. At $99 a month for one user that is a fair deal, and the people who leave happy reviews are exactly this buyer. Everyone else should read what Jobber's customers say, where the complaint themes are about features rather than about leaving.
Thryv against the alternatives a contractor actually buys
| Product | Entry price | Dispatch and routing | Who it fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thryv Starter | $99 a month, 1 user | No | Single-location service business with no software |
| Thryv Signature | $399 a month, 5 users | No | Same, with a team and social media |
| Jobber Core | $29 a month billed annually ($49 monthly) | Routing on Connect, $99 | Any home service trade, one truck up |
| Housecall Pro Basic | $59 a month billed annually | Yes on higher tiers | Home services generally |
| GoHighLevel Starter | $97 a month plus usage | No | Marketing automation and funnels; agencies |
| HubSpot Free | $0, 2 users | No | Sales CRM for a two-person company |
| Verdict | Thryv's $99 is competitive with the marketing-automation crowd and expensive next to a field service platform that schedules trucks. Pick the category before the vendor. | ||
Frequently asked questions
Is Thryv worth it?
For a single-location service business with no software, Starter at $99 a month is a fair price for listings sync, scheduling, reminders, invoicing and review management in one place, and the product reviews (4.3 on G2, 4.2 on Capterra) support that. For a contractor who dispatches crews it is not, because there is no routing, dispatch or job costing at any tier and Signature costs $399.
How much does Thryv cost in 2026?
Starter is $99 a month for one user and Signature is $399 a month for five users and five social profiles, per thryv.com/pricing on October 12, 2026. Custom is quoted. Annual billing is 15 percent off, a $250 onboarding fee is shown as waived, and the done-for-you Boosts (ads, SEO, social) are priced by quote.
Why are Thryv's Trustpilot reviews so bad?
Trustpilot rates the company, including its legacy Yellow Pages advertisers, and the score was 2.6 across 442 reviews on October 12, 2026, with 58 percent one-star. The recent complaints are about cancellation not being available in the dashboard, charges and collections after cancellation, and trials that became six-month terms. The product-only sites, G2 and Capterra, score it above 4.
Does Thryv have a contract?
The pricing page does not state a term. A 2026 editorial review describes a six-month initial commitment, then month-to-month with 30 days' written notice and a three-day refund window, and several 2026 Trustpilot reviewers describe six-month terms. Get the term, the notice period and the cancellation method in writing before paying.
What is a good alternative to Thryv for contractors?
Jobber from $29 a month billed annually, Housecall Pro from $59, or Workiz, all of which schedule, dispatch and invoice field work. For marketing automation without field service, GoHighLevel at $97 or HubSpot's free CRM. The contractor CRM guide compares the field service options by crew size.
