Integration
Also called: Sync, Connector
An integration is a connection between two pieces of software that moves data automatically, such as a website form sending leads into the CRM or the CRM syncing invoices into QuickBooks.
In practice
Native integrations are built by the vendor and tend to be reliable. Zapier and Make connect almost anything else for a few dollars a month. The question to ask a vendor is whether the sync is two-way, because a one-way QuickBooks sync creates duplicates.
Every manual re-entry between two systems is an integration that has not been built yet.
