    Workflow automation

    Also called: Automation, Marketing automation

Workflow automation is a rule that runs on its own when something happens, such as a new form submission sending a text to the customer and an alert to the office.

    In practice

The first automations in a trade business are always the same: text back a missed call, confirm a form within a minute, remind the customer the day before, ask for a review an hour after the job, and chase an unpaid invoice at day seven.

Each one replaces a task someone was supposed to do and forgot on busy days, which are the days that matter.
