TL;DR
Sacramento's Clutch page for digital marketing opens with a San Francisco agency, and the tenth entry is a company whose domain is parked for sale. Of the nine real Sacramento-area agencies we read on October 29, 2026, four print a price. AdInfusion runs local SEO at $999, $1,400 and $2,900 a month. Capital Valley Marketing, a two-year-old shop built for the trades, starts managed packages at $797 a month. Two Trees in Roseville charges 11 to 15 percent of ad spend with a $10,000 minimum monthly spend and prints "SEO from $2,999." Azteca Media bundles plans from $900 to $6,000 without saying whether that is monthly. Three29, Bright Valley, 3fold, un/common and Advantagy quote on the call. For a home service contractor the local shortlist is AdInfusion or Capital Valley, and Skill Mammoth at $350 to $1,500 a month if you want the price on the page and month-to-month terms.
Disclosure up front: Skill Mammoth is a Minneapolis agency, we serve California contractors and practices remotely, and we are on this list. The other nine are Sacramento-area shops we would lose deals to in the right matchup, ranked with the same rules as our Indianapolis and Orlando lists: a real office in the Sacramento metro, marketing or SEO as a core service, visible client work, plus whatever price, contract term and proof each agency prints on its own site, read on October 29, 2026. Google review counts are from Google Maps that day and will drift.
Read the Google results before you read this list
Sacramento is unusual: real local agencies actually rank. Search "digital marketing agency sacramento" on October 29, 2026 and the organic results include GreyDot Marketing, un/common, Capital Valley Marketing and Azteca Media's Sacramento page, between the usual directory pages from The Manifest and DesignRush. The map pack is AdInfusion, Bright Valley Marketing and Tetra Agency, and Google's AI Overview on the sister query names the same three with their review counts. Five of the nine organic URLs in the Ahrefs snapshot sit under a domain rating of 45, which means a Sacramento shop with a decent site can get on page one for its own city. Most cities this size cannot say that.
Clutch is the opposite. Its Sacramento digital marketing list opens with Jives Media (San Francisco, 341 reviews), then puts Mira Commerce (Walnut Creek), Adverio and Scalero (both Oakland) in the top six. Post Modern Marketing sits tenth with 20 reviews; its domain redirected to a GoDaddy "for sale" page on October 29, 2026 and Google Maps has no listing for it in Sacramento County. Treat the directories as a list of names to verify, not a ranking.
1. Skill Mammoth (ours)
We are the flat-fee option on this page, on purpose. Plans run $350, $750 and $1,500 a month on published tiers with no contract and no setup fee, every plan runs on a website we build and you own ($3,000, or $150 a month for 24 months on Easy Start), Local Services Ads management is $150 a month, and Google Ads is $600 a month or 12 percent of spend. The fit is home service contractors and local practices doing $500,000 to $5 million a year, from Elk Grove to Roseville. We are not the fit for SMUD or a hospital system; two agencies below are, and we name them.
2. AdInfusion
Downtown at 1001 G Street, since 2010 by its own account (Clutch says 2012), and the Sacramento agency with the most complete pricing page. Local SEO is $999 a month for "Get on the Map," $1,400 for the "Aggressive" plan marked most popular, and $2,900 for "Market Domination." National SEO runs $2,995 to $9,750. Every card prints the same six bullets, up to 80 keyphrases, a technical audit, ten pages of initial content and call and rank tracking, so the tiers differ in volume rather than scope. No contract term is printed; the homepage says to budget "at least $1,000 per month on SEO services for over 6 months," which is honest about how long the work takes.
Niches named include law firms, dentists, home care, lawn and turf, car washes and local lead generation; Pacific Grass and Turf and Harmony Homecare are named clients. Google 4.8 across 67 reviews, in the map pack for both queries, and Clutch 5.0 across 5 at $150 to $199 an hour. The "95% of our clients are on page one" claim has no case study behind it; the case-studies link on the homepage goes nowhere. For a Sacramento trades company that wants a local SEO price in writing, this is the first call.
3. Capital Valley Marketing
3626 Fair Oaks Boulevard in Arden-Arcade, by appointment, with a second office in Rancho Cordova, founded 2024. Capital Valley is the one Sacramento agency built around the trades: HVAC, plumbing, roofing, solar and professional services are the named niches, and the Google snippet reads "a Sacramento marketing agency for trades & professional services." The pricing is printed and flat-rate: a $497 do-it-yourself toolkit credited toward a retainer, managed packages from $797 a month, Customer Growth at $2,500 with up to $5,000 of ad spend included, and Market Authority from $4,997 with up to $15,000 of spend.
It is two years old and reads like it. Google shows 5.0 across 7 reviews, Clutch has none, the testimonials are two accountants, and the FAQ on the services page still contained an unpublished placeholder on October 29, 2026 that reads, in full, "[PLACEHOLDER, do not publish until Celia provides the real answer on contract length and cancellation terms]." So the contract terms are not published, and the agency knows it. The one case number, an unnamed client at 41,800 visits in 90 days with 42 percent from ChatGPT, is the kind of AI-search result we like to see tracked. Ask for a plumbing or HVAC reference before you sign.
4. Two Trees Digital Marketing
Roseville, at 2281 Lava Ridge Court, with a London office, founded 2017; Clutch still lists an older Sacramento address. Two Trees is the paid media specialist here, and its pricing page headline is the house position: "No 'contact us for pricing.' Just pricing." Paid search is 15 percent of spend on a six-month term, 13 percent at 12 months and 11 percent at 18, for businesses spending $10,000 or more a month; at $15,000 of spend the slider prints $2,250, $1,950 or $1,650 a month. Paid social is 20, 17 and 15 percent. An onboarding fee of half the first month is added to the first invoice.
The SEO side is less finished: the homepage prints "SEO from $2,999/mo," the pricing page's four SEO tiers show no dollar figure and a three-month minimum, and the homepage's "no long term contracts" does not match the six-month paid media terms. The proof is strong for a franchise or law firm: Pizza Guys at 90-plus locations and $1 million in managed spend, Marquee Law Group at three times the conversion rate and 60 percent lower cost per lead. Google 4.7 across 9, Clutch 5.0 across 6 at a $10,000 minimum. Right for a company already spending $10,000 a month on ads. Wrong for one spending $2,000.
5. Three29
901 H Street downtown, with a second headquarters in Jacksonville, founded 2010. Three29 is the top Sacramento-based entry on Clutch, 4.9 across 42 reviews at a $10,000 minimum, and it describes itself as a B2B web development, marketing and branding agency for architecture, engineering and construction firms, law firms, manufacturers and SaaS. No price is printed. The homepage proof is specific and unusually current: Scolaro at 200 percent organic traffic growth, Statewide CDC at a 191 percent increase in AI Overview citations, Skyline at 283 percent more ChatGPT citations. Tracking AI citations as a result is rare on any agency site. Google 5.0 across 18. The fit is a commercial contractor or engineering firm with a five-figure project budget, not a residential service company.
Want the price before the call?
Ours is on the pricing page: $350 to $1,500 a month, month to month, on a site you own. The free audit tells you whether you need any of it.
6. Bright Valley Marketing
730 I Street, Suite 200, established 2014. It is in the map pack for both queries with Google 5.0 across 51 reviews, the figure Google's AI Overview quotes. Bright Valley is a digital PR and SEO shop: editorial placements on high-authority sites, with a "Featured In" wall of Bloomberg, the New York Post and ABC News that reflects client placements rather than awards. Clients named include Smith's Pest Management, Choice Mutual and Exoticca. No price is printed; the site says "no contracts" for the PR service, and Clutch lists a $5,000 minimum at $150 to $199 an hour with 4.8 across 3 reviews. If your problem is authority, the links other sites will not give you, this is the Sacramento specialist. If your problem is the map pack, buy that first.
7. Azteca Media
915 Highland Pointe Drive in Roseville, with Sacramento, Midtown, Natomas and Land Park named as markets, and the highest Google review count on this list at 4.9 across 132. The plans page says "Plans, priced up front": Growth at $900, Premium at $2,500 marked most chosen, Luxury Customized Design at $3,500 and Enterprise Gold at $6,000, each bundling a website, Google Business Profile management, directory listings and social setup. What the page does not say is whether those are monthly or one-time; the Sacramento location page separately prints $1,500 to $3,500 a month for paid media management. Ask.
Niches named are state government, healthcare and professional services, with home services directories added at the Luxury tier. No clients or case numbers are on the pages we read, and Clutch has no profile. A verified Google Partner badge links to Google's directory. The review count is real and the pricing is half-published, which puts Azteca ahead of the agencies that print nothing.
8. 3fold Communications
2830 G Street, since 2004, with offices in Toledo and Wichita. 3fold is the public-sector and nonprofit agency: Los Rios Community College at a 10.4 percent enrollment increase and nearly 10 million impressions, Nevada County Connects ridership up 16 percent, Sacramento County's SacGreenTeam at a 400 percent traffic increase, Build California at 4.75 million TikTok views. It is a certified SMUD vendor and a Forbes Agency Council member. No price is printed; Clutch lists a $5,000 minimum at $100 to $149 an hour with no reviews, and Google shows 5.0 across 7. If you sell to a school district or a county, this is the room to be in. A roofing company will not find a peer in the portfolio.
9. un/common
1331 21st Street in Midtown, and the second organic result for the head keyword. un/common is a brand and advertising agency, not a search shop: video and broadcast, outdoor, packaging, brand identity, with SMUD's Clean Power City work, SAFE Credit Union's brand, the Golden 1 Center "More than a Building" campaign and the California State Fair on the client list. No price is printed, and the site gives no team size, founding year or Clutch presence. Google 5.0 across 5. This is who you hire when the brand is the problem and the budget has a comma in it. It is not who you hire for leads next month.
10. Advantagy
2450 Venture Oaks Way, the second Sacramento-based entry on Clutch at 5.0 across 15 reviews and a $1,000 minimum, with Google 5.0 across 34 and a G2 High Performer badge from summer 2026. Advantagy sells fractional CMO work alongside search and social for ecommerce, SaaS, healthcare, finance and home services, and the case studies carry numbers: ProsperPlan, a Sacramento wealth firm, at 100-plus client calls in year one with no ad spend; Eventlyst from 500 to 10,000-plus monthly visitors; a burrito chain at 300 percent growth and two new stores. A&G Electric and TOV Restoration are named trades testimonials. No price is printed, and the free offer on the site requires at least $1 million in annual revenue, which tells you the customer it wants.
What they charge, side by side
| Agency | City | Printed price | Google reviews | Clutch |

| AdInfusion | Sacramento | Local SEO $999, $1,400, $2,900 a month | 4.8 (67) | 5.0 (5), $150 to $199/hr |
| Capital Valley Marketing | Arden-Arcade | From $797 a month; $2,500; from $4,997; $497 toolkit | 5.0 (7) | No reviews |

| 3fold Communications | Sacramento | Not printed | 5.0 (7) | No reviews, $5,000 min |
| un/common | Sacramento | Not printed | 5.0 (5) | Not listed |
| Advantagy | Sacramento | Not printed | 5.0 (34) | 5.0 (15), $1,000 min |
| Verdict | Four of nine print a number, which is the best ratio of any city we have graded. Start with the four. | |||
Two names from the map pack are missing above on purpose. Tetra Agency shows 5.0 across 119 Google reviews at 2014 Capitol Avenue, but its own contact page prints template placeholder addresses in Maine and Texas and its client logos link nowhere, so we could not verify the work. Lockedown SEO, 4.9 across 49 reviews, is a real manufacturing and industrial SEO specialist with a PO Box and no office. Helping Merchants prints prices from $899 a month but no address anywhere on its site.
For contractors specifically
The Sacramento-Roseville-Folsom metro held 2,463,127 people on July 1, 2024 by the Census Bureau's Vintage 2024 estimate, 1,611,231 of them in Sacramento County. The 2023 County Business Patterns file counts 3,390 construction employers in the county: 461 plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractors, 353 electrical contractors and 142 roofers with payroll, before counting the owner-operators with none. That is the field for "ac repair Elk Grove," and it is why a $797 managed package and a $10,000 ad-spend minimum can both be sold in the same metro.
For a one-location trades company, the shortlist is AdInfusion's $999 or $1,400 tier, Capital Valley's $797 package if you want a shop that only does the trades and can live with a new one, and us at $350 to $1,500 with the site included. Everything that moves a map pin is remote work: the Google Business Profile, a page per suburb from Natomas to Folsom, reviews, plus the Local Services Ads layer Google is folding into Google Ads this year. The playbook is in our SEO for contractors guide, and the best SEO companies for small business list covers the national options.
How to choose between them
Ask every agency the same three questions. What is the monthly price and the term, in writing, before a discovery call; four of these nine have already answered on their sites. Which Sacramento clients in my trade can I call. And what happens to the website if I leave, because Azteca, Three29 and Capital Valley all build sites and the answer decides whether you can change agencies without starting over. Then check whether the agency ranks for its own name and its own city. AdInfusion, Bright Valley, Capital Valley and Azteca all do, on their own domains, and that is the most honest proof a Sacramento marketing agency can offer.
Frequently asked questions

Skill Mammoth serves Sacramento contractors remotely at $350 to $1,500 a month.
How much does a marketing agency cost in Sacramento?
Printed Sacramento figures run from Capital Valley's $797 a month and AdInfusion's $999 local SEO tier to Two Trees' $2,999 SEO start and 11 to 15 percent of ad spend on a $10,000 minimum, with Azteca bundles from $900 to $6,000. Clutch minimums for the agencies here run $1,000 to $10,000, at $100 to $199 an hour.
Which Sacramento agencies publish prices?
AdInfusion ($999 to $2,900 a month for local SEO), Capital Valley Marketing (from $797 a month), Two Trees (11 to 15 percent of spend, SEO from $2,999) and Azteca Media (bundles $900 to $6,000) print a number. Skill Mammoth publishes $350 to $1,500. Three29, Bright Valley, 3fold, un/common and Advantagy quote on the call.
Are the agencies on Clutch's Sacramento list actually in Sacramento?
The top entry, Jives Media, is in San Francisco, and Mira Commerce, Adverio and Scalero are in Walnut Creek and Oakland. Three29 and Advantagy, second and third, are in Sacramento. Several others are in the metro but not the city: Roseville, North Highlands, Rancho Cordova, Carmichael, Elk Grove, Davis and Woodland. Post Modern Marketing, tenth, has a parked domain.
Do I need a Sacramento agency for Sacramento marketing?
No. Local SEO runs through the Google Business Profile, suburb pages and reviews, all remote work, which is why we serve California from Minneapolis. A local agency helps for a meeting; it does not change the ranking work. The exception is brand and public-sector work, where 3fold and un/common's local relationships are the product.
Is Skill Mammoth a Sacramento marketing agency?
No, and we say so above. We are a Minneapolis agency serving contractors and practices nationally, including the Sacramento metro, at $350 to $1,500 a month with no contract. If a local shop matters to you, AdInfusion and Capital Valley are the two we would call first.
